Friends of Lake Meadows
FOLM Billericay is an independent, local charity, with volunteers working in partnership with Basildon Borough Council, Billericay Town Council and the Billericay community to care for the park, promote its facilities and encourage conservation and wildlife.

As part of Thriftwood Academy, Thristwood College provides education for a range of students with moderate learning difficulties, including those with autistic spectrum needs, between the ages of 14 – 19.
Food for Thought (Young Carers)
In association with Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food UK pilot project, his project supports young carers aged 8-18 years. Its mission is to teach local young carers how to cook from scratch, and eat to improve their long term health and wellbeing.

Purple4polio
Rotary and its members have been committed to fighting to eradicate polio across the world. The number of polio-endemic countries has dropped from 125 to just three, with over 2.5 billion children receiving vaccinations. With eradication now closer than ever, Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland’s latest campaign, Purple4Polio, is designed to unite communities to engage in activities as part of the final push to eradicate polio for good.

The Kimuuni Primary School Project
The Kumuuni Primary School Project aims to completely refurbish a much needed source of primary education in Kenya. Mayflower is leading an initiative among Essex Rotary Clubs to provide funding for the provision of sanitary facilities, desks, books and classroom equipment.

Early Childhood Development SA supports the development of a National Integrated Strategy for Early Childhood Development, with special focus on the development of materials for primary care-givers focused on the psycho-social support of 0-3 year-old children, and promoting skills development at community level.

The ROTB Trust is a United Kingdom-registered charity, working with a number of organisations with overseas projects that need Rotary Water Barrels, a simple, cheap technology to help children who had been carrying their own weight in water, not just from a local tap to their home, but from miles away.
