The Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower numbers forty eight people, and runs several events in the town, most notable of which are the Summerfest Event in July and the Billericay Christmas Market at the beginning of December.
Our President this year is Barry Howe, who took over in July 2020. Please e-mail Ian Miller, the Club Secretary, for more information about the club. His e-mail address is secretary@mayflowerrotary.org.
The club has an interesting history, and is closely associated with the Rotary Club of Billericay which meets on a Monday.
From the President

As Mayflower embarks on the 31st year of its busy life, the global organisation to which it belongs faces the biggest challenge to its future since the two world wars.
Rotary overcame both of those but now faces a threat to its very existence from coronavirus. It presents us with serious questions over the future of an organisation that bases so much of its activities and achievements on meeting together in one form or another and acting collectively.
Requirements of the lockdown prevent so much of our regular activities. We will overcome but not without looking deeply at all we do, facing change reluctantly but of necessity and build a new, revived future for our club, our membership and the worldwide organisation of which we are proud to be a part.
The friendships that are such a strength of Mayflower are firm foundations for our year ahead together. I look forward to enjoying our time with everyone as we build on our strengths as an enthusiastic organisation that frankly enjoys life.
Let us aim to continue to do just that.
Here’s to a successful launch into the 2020s.
Barry Howe
President, Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower.
